Inferno : Review '' The darkest places of hell are reserved for those who maintain their neutrality in moral crisis''. Set mainly in the picturesque town of Florence in Italy, with the whole book dancing around the country of Dante Alighieri's origin, Dan Brown's 'Inferno' promises to change your perspective about many things. When Langdon (the protagonist) wakes up in a hospital, with a gunshot wound to his head and no recollection of the past two days, Langdon, along with the young and resourceful Doctor Sienna Brooks, has to find out what happened and also locate the virus before it kills half of the population if released.  It's a factual fiction which takes the reader through an amazing journey of words that build the scene in your mind. It's a perfect blend of mythology and science. The way it creates suspense and leaves the reader on a cliffhanger at the end of every chapter, is just mind-blowing. The virus was said to be ...

The Bell-Bottom Trend Personally, I love bell-bottoms and especially bell-bottom jeans. Bell-bottoms (or flares) are a style of trousers that become wider from the knees downward, forming a bell-like shape of the trouser leg. These trendy and versatile pants are a great addition your wardrobe. Nothing makes a woman look tall and skinny as a pair of great bell bottoms.  Bell- bottom jeans can be styled with tank tops and can be accessorized with loop earrings. High heels can be worn to give a classy look. One can also use a pair of slides as footwear. Bell-bottoms are comfortable, easy to wear and carry yourself when you're wearing it. If you want to carry a purse, you can always carry slings with gold coloured chains so as to glam up your look even more. Bell-bottoms are suitable for parties, clubs, meetings and fashion shows. They were a symbol of the 70's fashion trends but then disappeared and later reappeared in the 90's as a part of the baggy cloth...

KARATE BLOG

A Way Of Living Karate (officially known as Karate do) is a Japanese martial art used for self defense. The word Karate do is derived from 3 Japanese terms : 'Kara' means empty, 'Te' means hand and 'Do' means the way of fighting. Therefore, Karate do as a whole means the way of empty hand fighting. There are belts of different colours assigned to Karatekas (students of Karate) according to their levels of practicing and knowledge. The very first belt is white in colour and the last is black. It's said that the real journey begins from the black belt and for me it has already begun. It's been 6 years since I've been practicing Karate and I've realized that it's more than just self defense. It's a way of living, an energy that provides you courage and it gives me a sort of peace when I'm with it. It's more than just learning how to kick or block attacks, it's about perfecting it to the point where it beco...

Closer To Nature When you are a person who loves to travel, you are a person with a lot of stories to tell. I love being close to Nature and I’ve never felt any closer to it than my days spent at the Yelagiri Hill station in Tamil Nadu.  Last November, I visited Yelagiri along with my Karate teacher (Sensei) and two other senior students. We had a Karate seminar to attend and I’ve never been any happier that it was in Yelagiri. After long hours of practice when it was finally evening, we would go out of our cottages for a walk. Sitting on the rocks while sipping tea and looking at the greenery spread around me, I had one of the most refreshing times.  As the evening blended into night, I could see fireflies lighting up the place. On another day when the weather grew colder, it almost felt like the clouds had surrounded us and we were walking through them and then it started to rain. It rained so heavily that I wasn’t able to see my Sensei who wa...

Food That Reminds Me Of Home Eating is a invigorating process that rejuvenates not only the body,  but also the soul. On many occasions, eating feels like a huge chore and otherwise, I am so happy to eat that I feel that I am being rewarded. Eating food makes me feel happy and satisfied. I'm a  hardcore food enthusiast,  a fact which has made me famous within my own circle. I love trying exotic dishes but at the end of the day, curd rice has always been home for me. The very beauty of curd rice is that it's just a simple blend of curd along with rice as the name suggests. It's taste just doubles up with the addition of pickles or bananas. (Yes, people do add that). The comforting taste of curd rice is so nostalgic that I can eat it anytime. This dish is filling, satisfying and most importantly, available at all times. During my childhood, visiting Grandma's place would have a sole purpose; eating some amazing South Indian food.  Curd rice has always bee...
